Visiting Young
Also known as the Cherry Capital of Australia, the beautiful town of Young is located on NSW’s South West Slopes.
Young has a rich history, going back to the goldrush days in the 19th century.
It is also the perfect spot from which to explore our beautiful Hilltops region. Enjoy the glorious countryside, award winning foods & wines, orchards, gardens and festivals that Young has to offer.
Great times to visit are:
- cherry season, with the Cherry Festival during the first weekend of December as the highlight;
- the Lambing Flat Chinese Festival in March where our rich heritage and cultural diversity is celebrated;
- spring, when the canola fields in bloom create stunning views;
That said, there is no wrong time to visit Young and there is always something to do for everyone!
Our motel is situated in walking distance from the visitors centre and we are always happy to share our favourite activities in our beautiful town.
